Collective Action

Current environmental challenges require unprecedented collective action. This research examines the social processes underlying contemporary environmental mobilization and conflict. My work has a particular focus on environmental values and communication in contested resource environments. My master's research examined the intensification of colonial policing of Indigenous land defense in oil and gas projects through a lens of domestic terrorism. More recently, I have collaborated on several projects studying pro- and anti-environmental movements.
