"Wildlife" in Environmental Policy

My research has a particular focus on environmental policy. While terms like 'natural,' 'wild,' and 'invasive' are socially and scientifically contested, they become concretized in laws and policies, with material consequences for the non-human plants and animals they regulate. My work in this area examines how nature is framed and reframed in legal and policy debates.
